Admissions Coffee Hour with a Student’s Spouse
Description
Grab your coffee and join our Admissions Team for a relaxed, online conversation about the part of graduate school that rarely makes the brochure: what it’s like to love someone who is in it.
Our guest is Lauren Peiser, Director of Partnerships at The Seattle School. Lauren first came to the school as an employee in 2018, the same year her husband, Lucas, began the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology program. He graduated in 2021. Since then she has served as an Admissions Counselor and Manager, and she has lived graduate school from both sides: as a staff member and as the spouse of a student.
She’ll talk candidly about how to prepare, what to expect along the way, how to cope when the season gets heavy, how to support without losing yourself, and how to grow alongside someone in formation. Whether you’re considering applying and wondering how to bring your family along, or you’re a partner, parent, or friend trying to understand what’s ahead, this conversation is for you.
At The Seattle School, formation is rarely a solo experience. Students bring their histories and their relationships into the work, and the people closest to them feel it too. That deserves honest conversation.
When you register, you can submit a question for a chance to hear directly from Lauren. Bring your questions and your curiosity, and your partner too if you’d like.
Zoom details will be sent after you register.
